Frequently needing to ask, “can you repeat that,” or “what did you say,” and at my family’s strong urgings, I finally relented and made an appointment with a local ENT. After his examination and hearing test, to no surprise, I was diagnosed with moderate to severe hearing loss attributable to heredity. The next step was to see the ENT’s on staff audiologist who had me test out Widex Moment 440’s. It immediately became clear I had been missing out on many of the normal sounds around me. More importantly normal conversation had suddenly become so much easier. The big surprise came when the price was presented. These hearing aids could become mine for $6000 plus an extra $300 for the charger!

$6300 was simply unaffordable and prompted me to search the internet for alternative providers which lead me to Reform. I had found what I was looking for, but my skepticism was on high alert and my wife thought I was crazy for even considering a company found this way.

After thinking about it, doing further research and finding only positive reviews I placed an order. My hearing aids arrived in less than a week and my first appointment with Dr. Pettit was scheduled right away. As promised, Dr. Pettit tweaked the hearing aids remotely and all was going well.

About two weeks in the left hearing aid started having trouble taking a charge and eventually wouldn’t charge at all. I called Dr. Pettit’s office to let him know of this problem. A new appointment was scheduled for the next day to confirm a real problem existed. Dr. Pettit assured me this was very rare. He emailed me instructions on how to return the defective device with prepaid shipping to the manufacturer and a new hearing aid was quickly sent out and has been subsequently adjusted by Dr. Pettit to my hearing needs.

Reform is a real company with a real doctor and has performed better than expected at much more affordable pricing than other hearing aid providers. I happily recommend Reform to anyone who may have hearing loss.
